Parramatta - Koori Kinnections

Indigenous Australian culture in celebration of NAIDOC week, so as a part of the celebration we have some incursion at our centre. It was a special visit from Koori Kinnections. Charlene from Koori Kinnections taught the children different Aboriginal dances, stories and shared different songs and languages to the children such aboriginal words for , kangaroos, water , wind etc.


Also Charlene showed real Aboriginal items they use to the children. The children had the opportunity to touch and feel the different Aboriginal and Indigenous Australian items they use.


This incursion acknowledge of the Aboriginal people history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Also NAIDOC Week is celebrated by all Australians and is a great opportunity to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
