Hello, I’m Kira, the Centre Director at Little Bees Childcare Parramatta.

I have been working in Early Childhood Education and Care for over 9 years and hold both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in early childhood education. My journey at Little Bees has allowed me to grow from an Early Childhood Teacher into a leadership role, while staying closely connected to what matters most—our children, families and educators.

As a Centre Director, I believe children thrive when they feel safe, valued and genuinely known by the people around them. I take a child-centred and nurturing approach, recognising every child as a capable and unique individual with their own interests, strengths and ways of learning. I also believe that strong, trusting relationships with families are an essential part of providing meaningful and consistent care.

​

While my role involves leading and supporting our team and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the centre, I still love being involved in the children’s learning, conversations and everyday moments. Seeing their confidence grow, hearing their ideas and watching them develop a true sense of belonging at Little Bees are some of the most rewarding parts of my role.

I speak both English and Mandarin and enjoy connecting with families from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Outside of Little Bees, I’m also a mum to a three-year-old daughter and a cat owner, so life is rarely quiet! In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, travelling and exploring the beauty of nature. Becoming a parent myself has also given me another perspective on early childhood and a deeper understanding of how important it is for families to know that their child is genuinely cared for, understood and happy.

My goal is to create a centre where children are excited to come each day, families feel welcomed and connected, and educators feel supported to grow and bring their best to the children.
