Parramatta - Pancake Day

Little Bees celebrated Pancake Day on Tuesday which represents 'Shrove Tuesday' as it is the day before Ash Wednesday.

The children decorated their pancakes using a variety of fruits and whipped cream. The children enjoyed decorating their individual pancake for afternoon tea.

Allowing children to create their own snacks provides opportunity for resilience and self independent skills. This can also foster and strengthen their ability to wanting to try new foods or ingredients they generally have not yet tasted or desire to eat. As children are offered the opportunity to create and assemble their own snacks, they are able to show an awareness for their sense of achievement.
