Parramatta - Gardening exploration

At Little Bees, we strongly believe in promoting and encouraging sustainable practices within the service. As part of our sustainability management plan, we have planted and grown a vegetable garden so that we can have fresh produce for our centre cook to use when preparing our fresh daily meals as well as use them as part of our cooking learning experiences.

Here are some photos of the children taking responsibility in caring for the natural environment as well as picking the fresh produce that are ready to be picked. The children were very excited to pick the tomatoes that have grown since the 4-5 year olds planted in 2020.

We are also participating in Woolworths Discovery Garden where the children are planting the herbs and flowers we receive from Woolworths.
