Parramatta - Chinese New Year Celebrations

Year of the Ox. Oxes have an honest nature and are known for their diligence, dependability, strength and determination.


The children celebrated Chinese New Year by making red paper lanterns as red is considered to symbolize luck, joy and happiness. During Chinese New Year, its traditional to hand our red envelopes which is a monetary gift. Miss Yumi handed out the red envelopes to the children which contained a special traditional Chinese candy.
