Little bees welcome two local Parramatta Fire Brigade to come and teach the children about fire safety. The children learnt about dialing 000 to call emergency services and explored the fire brigades special safety gear that keeps them safe if entering a building that is on fire. The children also learn about stop, drop and roll if they are exposed to fire. As an extension, the children have been role playing being fire fighters, pretending to be putting out fires. Miss Miche
Woolworths discovery tour 1 & 2 Today a small group of children were given the opportunity to participate in the Woolworths Discovery Tour at our local Woolworths. The children walked to Parramatta Woolworths and once we arrived, we were introduced to Mr Chris the Woolworths manager and Miss Cheryl. They both showed the children around the back area where all food produce is stored accordingly to the correct temperature. The children also identified different fruits and veget
Little Bees celebrated multicultural day by dressing up in our traditional clothing and each bringing in a cultural dish to share with everyone to celebrate the many wonderful cultures we have within our country and service. We would like to thank our families and educators who brought in a cultural dish for us to try. Celebrating each other’s culture is important for the children to learn and to become proud of embracing their own individual culture.
